Canyoning\noften occur at the lowest point of water drainage, which surrounded by the gorge\nrivers and ponds with or without waterfalls. Going down the gorge requires no\nprior experience, no special athletic skills, as long as one has a basic\nphysical condition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Specifically in the area of Pelion\nthere are 6 canyons of small and great difficulty, which are full secured and\nmapped to detailed guides. It is a training canyon. In spring and summer the canyon has no\nwater, contrary to the winter months. Access to the meeting point, located on\nthe road at the beginning of the canyon, is by car. At this point the necessary\nequipment is shared. The canyon ends at the beautiful beach of Fakistra and is\nreturned by a hiking trail, which takes about 20 minutes, again leading to the\noriginal meeting point. The total duration of all activity is about 3 to 4\nhours. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Coordinates on the map: <strong>39\u00b023&#8217;27.4&#8243;N 23\u00b010&#8217;05.2&#8243;E<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Galanorema Canyon<\/strong>: Located near the village of\nZagora. It is a beautiful canyon with waterfalls, lakes and blue waters. The\nmeeting point can be reached by car and it is 5 minutes by road from Zagora.\nHeading to the canyon requires a hike through the lush forest, which takes\nabout 15 minutes. Starting the descent, the first point to cross is Via\nFerrata, that is metals adapted on the rock. Inside the canyon you can swim,\ndive and rappel. Reaching to the end of the canyon it takes about 20 minutes,\nto reach the starting point. It is aimed at beginners and families with\nchildren over 8 years old.
